It should be mentioned that this is a multi-platform release for this title, not limited to only to the PlayStation brand. It will arrive as part of the Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo's eShop on the day of launch.
I was sold onto this the moment that I heard that Yacht Games, the developers behind Shovel Knight and it's wealth of add-on expansions/downloadable content (DLC), were behind this game. It was shown off during The Game Awards briefly among some of the laundry list of indie titles set to debut on multiple platforms this year.
After thoroughly enjoying The Messenger and another healthy playthrough of Strider (2014), I'm ready for some new ninja-oriented Metroidvania goodness, especially in the vein of how Shovel Knight's gameplay worked.
