PREVIEW -- Marvel's Avengers: A-Day - Black Widow vs. Taskmaster Boss Fight Gameplay

I REALLY want to get hyped for this Avengers video game, but from the piss poor character designs and lackluster narrative that sounds like it was rehashed from a much better comic book storyline, I have to admit the initial trailers for this game at E3 didn't do a thing for me. This game is going to need a massive facelift for me to remotely care to invest some hard-earned cash onto this game.

The gameplay here doesn't look bad; it just doesn't offer anything new we haven't seen before. It's highly reminiscent to Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham series, namely the Firefly boss fight that we saw in Arkham Origins. At the same time, Taskmaster seems to behave much like Deathstroke in that game in terms of counters and his attack patterns. Widow herself doesn't seem to have too many options and I could see this game getting pretty boring in no time. Crystal Dynamics have a lot of work on their hands before they change my mind about this.

For those who haven't seen the initial reveal trailer from E3, I have linked that video below.
