This animated film is being billed as the first appearances of Jessica Cruz (Green Lantern) and Miss Martin in the Justice League Unlimited/DC Animated Universe continuity. Most of the original voice actors from that series return to reprise the roles of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman respectively - Kevin Conroy, George Newborn, and Susan Eisenberg.
The film's synopsis is as follows: "The Justice League battles the Fatal Five, (Tharok, Emerald Empress, Validus, Mano and the Persuader). Based on the characters created by Jim Shooter."
While I'm not too crazy about the Legion of Superheroes from the future, I'm intrigued to see that we're getting more Justice League Unlimited in some capacity here. That is LONG overdue, despite their efforts to do something similar with Justice League Action! which got cancelled before it even picked up any steam.
This releases later this month on February 28th.
