So Brainiac is the big bad this time around?
After reading all of the Injustice prequel and tie-in books, I was wondering what happened to him and Supergirl to be honest. Shit must really hit the fan if even the Red Lanterns are getting involved. The Sinestro Corps were brought in the prequel comics at one point with Evil Superman even wielding one of their rings. In comparison to the tie-in books, the video game has a lot on their plates if they want to deliver in the story department. I really hope they deliver in that aspect. If you haven't already, go out of your way to read the Injustice comics. They are surprisingly VERY good. I can't put that out there enough.
Cool that Bane's back and Poison Ivy has been confirmed playable too, but I hope that they don't go nuts with Batman-related characters. I said this on Facebook too, but I REALLY hope they don't make the mistake like the first game and devote most of the in-game roster to Batman's rogues gallery and the Bat-Family when there's a TON of DC Comics characters that deserve to be in this game. That was fine for the first game since they were trying to market this as a new IP but now the fanbase has been established and it's time to start showing off some more of these major players that were in the tie-in comics but didn't see the light of day in the video game.
That being said, I see Robin (Damian Wayne) will more likely inherit Nightwing's moveset and traits in this game since the deceased Dick Grayson is the new Deadman in the Injustice tie-in comics. I don't see them putting in both Batgirl and Batwoman in this when they can make them DLC skins for each other, which is reportedly what one of Supergirl's DLC costumes is going to be for she can be swapped out for Power Girl. Remember they did the same thing with Jon Stewart Green Lantern and Arrow for Green Arrow, providing alternate voices and dialogue.
