Out of all of Marvel Studios' projects to date, Guardians of the Galaxy was their biggest gamble to date and it paid off BIG time. I'm dying to see where they take this next as we know that the Guardians will more likely run into Thanos first before he makes his way to Earth and encounters the Avengers in Infinity War.
Ego the Living Planet has been confirmed as the antagonist for this film and that's what I'm guessing why Rocket has devised a bomb to destroy him from within. That is a throwback to a similar strategy devised by Reed Richards and the rest of the Fantastic Four when they ran into this massive adversary in their animated series and comic books.
Baby Groot is just too adorable, but I think Dave Bautista's Drax will be the breakout star of this sequel after Groot (along with Rocket) naturally stole the show in the original. I hope Gamorra gets more character development this time around if they are going to dwell into a possible romance between her and Starlord.
